IMPORTANT NOTICE
Intended as supplementary feed – not as a complete food.
High-quality protein source:
Mealworms (Tenebrio molitor) are rich in protein and healthy fats, ideal for muscle building and energy supply. They also contain essential vitamins and minerals that contribute to health and vitality.
Natural nutrition without additives:
Our mealworms are bred under high quality standards – completely free from chemicals or pesticides.
Mealworms contain 15–20% protein and 10–15% fat (fresh weight), depending on feeding and rearing.
Suitable for which animals?
Birds: Chickens, wild birds such as tits, woodpeckers, robins
Reptiles: Geckos, bearded dragons, other lizards
Amphibians & invertebrates: Frogs, salamanders, tarantulas
Fish: Larger ornamental fish, e.g. cichlids
Small mammals: Hamsters, mice, hedgehogs
Feeding recommendation
Ensure a varied diet and a balanced calcium-phosphorus ratio – especially for reptiles and young animals. Targeted feeding („gut loading“) before feeding can further improve nutrient quality.
Benefits of live insects
Natural food: Live mealworms stimulate hunting behavior and encourage your animals’ natural feeding instincts. They are an important part of a species-appropriate diet and provide variety on the menu.
Why live mealworms? Many animals prefer moving food and accept live insects more readily by instinct. Live food contains more moisture, vitamins and amino acids than dried alternatives.
Storage
Mealworms are best stored at room temperature or in the refrigerator (they then keep for several months) and should be fed within 4–6 weeks.
Feeding:
Please feed the worms regularly with oats and fresh fruit or vegetables and ensure sufficient moisture.
