Florian Berendt, an agricultural engineer with over ten years of experience in the organic industry, has always had a passion for innovative and sustainable solutions in agriculture. His hands-on experience on organic farms in Northern Germany and his studies at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences immersed him deeply in the world of ecological animal and plant production. Even during his studies, he dedicated himself to an idea that was then little known but full of promise: insects as an alternative protein source for animal nutrition.

After graduating in 2017, Florian gained valuable international experience in project management for sustainable agriculture. Whether working on plum and walnut projects in Kyrgyzstan or mango cultivation in Mali, Florian was always a driver of innovation that combined ecological principles with efficiency and practicality. His work took him to various countries and brought him into contact with the global challenges and opportunities of sustainable agriculture.

But one question never let him go: how to better integrate insects as a future-proof resource into existing cycles. As he started working more intensively on concepts for using crickets and other insects, he quickly recognized the enormous potential. Why not create a sustainable and high-quality food source that also closes natural cycles?

This vision gave birth to EntoZoo: a brand dedicated to producing and advancing insects for animal nutrition. Since 2020, Florian and his team have been working to fully realize the potential of this unique resource. EntoZoo is not just a sustainable alternative to conventional animal feed, but also a contribution to a more ecological and resource-friendly feeding system.

Florian brings all of his experience and passion to EntoZoo to build a bridge between modern animal nutrition and the natural processes of nature. The mission is clear: our products should make animals happy and ease the burden on the environment – fully in the spirit of a future-proof circular system.
