Description

Fruit fly culture – flightless Drosophila hydei for small terrarium animals.

Flightless fruit flies are rich in protein, easy to digest and trigger the hunting instinct through their movement. They are easy to take out of the culture, easy to store and can be enriched with vitamins and minerals when needed.

Available as a 0.5-litre and a 1-litre tub.

Important note
  • Orders must reach EntoZoo by Monday 7:00 a.m.
  • Shipped on Wednesdays with DHL

Benefits of the culture
  • Flightless bred form – nothing escapes, easy to handle
  • Vital and active at 22–26 °C
  • Already contains everything the feeder insects need to develop
  • Triggers your animals' natural hunting instinct
Which animals is it suitable for?
  • Small reptiles: geckos, day geckos, anoles
  • Amphibians: poison dart frogs and other small species
  • Invertebrates: spiders, praying mantises
  • Fish: small to medium species that hunt prey at the water surface
Feeding recommendation
  • Simply take the amount you need out of the culture.
  • Lower temperatures reduce the flies' activity.
