Frozen house crickets straight from the producer – sustainable, nutritious and practical.
Our frozen house crickets (Acheta domesticus) are a natural, protein-rich supplement for reptiles, birds, fish and small mammals. They come from sustainable breeding in northern Germany, are made in Germany, free from preservatives and gently frozen at exactly the right moment.

Intended as a complementary feed – not as a complete feed.
Sizes and variants
- Large (adult): with wings and legs, individually removable. Suitable for hedgehogs, raccoons and small mammals.
- Medium (subadult): without wings and de-legged, individually removable. For production reasons the odd cricket with wings and legs may be included.
- Small: de-legged, the legs are not sieved out. Individually removable.

Which animals is it suitable for?

Feeding recommendation and thawing
Frozen crickets are a valuable addition to the feeding plan. Feed a varied diet and do not use them as the sole main feed.
- Gentle thawing: approx. 30–60 minutes at room temperature
- Quick thawing: pour lukewarm water over them in a sieve – not too hot
- Only thaw as many crickets as you feed straight away. Do not refreeze.
- The exact portion depends on the species and size of the animal.

Storage
Store frozen at –18 °C or colder.

Safety information on dry ice:
- Do not touch directly – risk of cold burns.
- Do not eat and do not add to drinks.
- Ventilate well – CO₂ is released as it evaporates.
- Do not put into sealed containers.
- Keep away from children.
- Let dry ice evaporate completely in the open air – do not put it in the bin or in water.
