Frozen black soldier fly larvae, individually removable – nutritious, sustainable and easy to portion.
The larvae of Hermetia illucens supply high-quality protein, healthy fats including omega-3 and omega-6, fibre in the form of chitin, vitamins (especially B vitamins and vitamin A) and minerals such as calcium, iron and zinc. They are frozen at exactly the right moment – entirely without preservatives.
Important note
Intended as a complementary feed – not as a complete feed. Do not refreeze thawed larvae.

Thawing and feeding recommendation
- Gentle thawing: thaw the larvae in a container at room temperature. Depending on the quantity this takes 30–60 minutes. The nutrients are preserved and the larvae are easier to eat.
- Quick thawing: put the larvae in a sieve and pour warm water over them. Make sure the water is not too hot.
- Portion size: only thaw as many larvae as your animal eats in one meal. Do not refreeze thawed larvae.
- Hygiene: clean the feeding bowls thoroughly after every meal to avoid bacteria and mould.
Storage
Store frozen at –18 °C or colder.

Safety information on dry ice:
- Do not touch directly – risk of cold burns.

- Let dry ice evaporate completely in the open air – do not put it in the bin or in water.
